Structure, governance and management
The Charity of governed by its Constitution adopted 1 March 2005, and was registered as a charity on 7 April 2005.
The membership of the Association is comprised of:
· all parents, guardians and carers of pupils currently at St John the Baptist Primary School
· all of the teaching and non-teaching staff currently employed by the School
The Association is managed by the Trustees and Committee. The Trustees are elected each year at the AGM. All trustees must be members of the Association.
The Committee comprises of members of the Association who attend the committee meetings.
All trustees and committee members give their time voluntarily and receive no remuneration or other benefits.
Objectives and activities
The principal activity of the charity is to raise funds for the benefit of St John the Baptist Primary School.
Its objects are to advance the education of the pupils in the school, in particular by:
· Developing effective relationships between staff, parents and others associated with the school
· Engaging in activities or providing facilities or equipment which support the school and advance the education of the pupils.
